On March 1st, our OLP leaders joined Ms. Pascale & Ms. Diana at Roberson Creek for their invasive plant project to help remove non-native plants. Students learned about species like the Chinese Holly and how eliminating non-native plants helps native species thrive. Through teamwork and dedication, our leaders made a real impact on this small tributary of the Haw River, gaining hands-on experience in ecosystem restoration.

This fall, we hope to return and plant native NC species!
It was fun to have some of our parents come out to support us! Thank you to everyone who showed up to help restore and protect our environment. It was cool to have some Syngenta volunteers as well!
