On May 16th, Orgullo Latinx Pride youth leaders participated in Nuestra Herencia, a powerful and hands-on learning experience hosted by Central Carolina Community College’s Sustainable Agriculture Program.
During the visit, our youth explored the college’s organic farm, tasted fresh vegetables straight from the garden , and learned about sustainable farming practices, food systems, and college programs in agriculture.
The experience was eye-opening and inspiring. For many, it was their first time visiting a working organic farm and connecting classroom knowledge to real-world environmental stewardship.
✨ A special thank you to Angie for coordinating this incredible opportunity! We’re also deeply grateful to the extension agents from NC State University, A&T University, and the team at Student Action with Farmworkers for sharing their wisdom and passion with our youth.
At Orgullo Latinx Pride, we believe in creating meaningful learning experiences that connect our cultura, our communities, and our futures.
