On March 31st, our Orgullo Latinx Pride (OLP) youth group came together for a transformative Professional Development Day — a day filled with growth, connection, and preparation for the future!
Thanks to the guidance of incredible facilitators Sholeh and Selina, our youth participants sharpened essential soft skills, including public speaking, networking, and interview preparation. These are crucial tools for success that will continue to empower our youth as they explore their career paths.
Although we were unable to visit GSK this year, the experience was still a powerful one thanks to the 19 community leaders who generously volunteered their time and wisdom. Through networking sessions, mock interviews, and a dynamic career panel, these professionals offered invaluable insights and encouragement to our future leaders.
A special highlight of the day was a workshop led by Collin, a Field Vice President, who shared strategies on how to develop our personal “brand,” use our voice with confidence, and navigate the professional world through thoughtful social media use.
