Orgullo Latinx Pride NC Museum Field Trip
On Tuesday, August 8, our Orgullo Latinx Pride (OLP) youth group visited The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. They had an amazing time visiting the different exhibitions from different regions in North Carolina. Ranging from the stone , ocean life, fossils, astronomy, and much more. They even had the opportunity to do an activity involving monkeys and blood cells with Dr. Marianne Barrier. In which they learned how to identify Neutrophils, Lymphocytes, Eosinophils, and Basophils. After that our youth were able to go inside their laboratory to see the different equipment they use. We would like to thank Dr. Marianne Barrier for allowing our youth to become scientists for a day and sharing her career pathway with them.
