On Wednesday, April 12, our Orgullo Latinx Pride youth group had the opportunity to visit two college campuses in one day!

Their college field trip began at Davidson College where they had breakfast at the Vail Commons before starting their tour. Thanks to Jose Daniel, a former alumni from our program shared his experience at Davidson College and how he has been able to join different organizations on campus.

After visiting the first college, they visited The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where Ervin, another former youth member, is currently enrolled. Our youth had the opportunity to see the botanical garden, see a dormitory and tour the university campus to finally have dinner at a fast food restaurant before returning home.

We want to thank our students in the program for taking the time to share their experiences with our youth and possibly have more students attend one of these universities!
