We won a GSK Impact Award!
The Hispanic Liaison is among 10 nonprofits in the Triangle to receive a GSK Impact Award!
GSK gave each organization $50,000 for their outstanding contributions to providing life improving and sustaining services, reinforcing healthy habits, and serving those in need. These funds are to support their missions dedicated to improving health outcomes. The awards are unrestricted, meaning nonprofits may use the money for any purpose furthering their work.
“We are incredibly honored to have been chosen for the GSK Impact Award, which is highly competitive! It is tremendous validation and recognition of our community response efforts. I’m very proud of our talented and dedicated team who give their all to help our community,” said Ilana Dubester, the Liaison’s Executive Director.
“Nonprofits are critical for connecting people in RTP and Philadelphia with vital services including housing, food, employment, education and youth mentoring,” said Maya Martinez-Davis, President, US Pharmaceuticals at GSK. “We are pleased and honored to expand our support of many of these outstanding organizations so they can continue to make a difference for people and communities across these two regions far into the future.”
As part of the 25th anniversary of the inception of the US-based IMPACT Awards, GSK increased the award from $40,000 to $50,000, for a total of $1 million donated in 2021. To date, GSK has awarded over $13 million in unrestricted funding to local nonprofits across the two regions that are home to its US corporate hubs.
